Hardwell: Yearmix 2011

By: Michael Maurer
After having his career receive a significant push by collaborating on Zero 76 with Tiesto, Hardwell has rolled out one massive tune after the other. With productions like Encoded, The World, Cobra, and his most recent bootleg of “Levels“, Hardwell has established himself firmly in the production industry. As a little New Year’s treat he uploaded a  one hour re-cap of his 2011 which features a personal mix and footage from his best gigs. You can watch the video above and download the set here. On a side note, have you ever noticed how Hardwell has some of the best video editors?

Porter Robinson: Live @ The Marquee (Las Vegas)

By: Michael Maurer
Don’t ask us how, but somehow this recent set of Porter Robinson at Las Vegas went completely under the radar for us. As usual, he delivers the bass-dripping, synth-pounding performance that has helped him establish his reputation in the electronic dance music industry. The set is a treat, since apart from  non-stop energy, Porter plays a gazillion of his own bootlegs/edits which make his performances so unique. For all those that saw him at Puerto Rico’s Electric Daisy Carnival this past August, you might hear some familiar tunes.

Zedd – The Mothership Vol 2.

 By: Michael Maurer
2011 has without doubt been Zedd’s most succesful year. He came out of nowhere with his remixes for Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites and went on to release a chain of massive electro-house club bangers such as The Legend of Zelda, DovregubbenShave It and his massive remix for the Swedish House Mafia’s Save The World. As a little Christmas treat, Zedd was featured as a special guest on Skrillex’s second installment of his Mothership radio show. Check out the set below.

Turbulence vs. Mutfakta vs. Flashback (Thomas Gold Edit)

By: Michael Maurer
Apparently, everything Thomas touches turns into Gold (see what I did there?). After having blown us away with Alive and his remix to Adele’s Set Fire To The Rain, Thomas is back with a bootleg that is sure to be heard in many upcoming DJ Sets. For anyone who’s caught one of his shows in a club, on air or online will know the mash up already. The title’s as long as the bootleg is big, so head over to Thomas’ Facebook page for a 320mp3 download.

Growin’ Up In The Gutter (Kill The Noise Remix)

By: Michael Maurer
Kill The Noise’s success as a producer has exploded in the last few months. He unleashed his new, polished up production skills with his remix for Porter Robinson, and went on to release his own EP on Skrillex’s label, OWSLA. Compared to other KTN productions, his remix for Yelawolf comes up quite simple, yet still mantains that signature filthyness Kill The Noise has recently created a reputation for. Check it out, you can download it for free:
